Story of Shantiniketan

By the grace of Almighty Allah, Mrs. Mahalakha started the Shanti Niketan School with few children in a rented building in Viveknagar, Bangalore in 1971.

With the hard struggle of both Mr. Syed Mustafa and Mrs. Mahalakha Mustafa a land for the school premises was allotted by the BDA in 1977.

Thirty four years from 1971 to 2005 was a very long and arduous journey as the school was not located in a posh area. The area comprised of many people from the poorer sections of the society. But the school got permanent recognition by the Government of Karnataka. The school has its branch at Neelasandra set up in 1981, and both the schools achieved 100 per cent results in the Seventh standard examination conducted by the government and the S.S.L.C result is between 90 per cent to 98 per cent The school also achieved 100% result in the past.

Apart from academic excellence, the school is very active in sports and other cultural activities.

You Are Never Alone
By Md. Ziyaullah Khan

Sometimes, when the world’s not on your side
you don’t know where to run to
you don’t know where to hide
you gaze, at the stars in the sky
at the mountains so high
through the tears in your eyes
looking for a reason, to replace what is gone
just remember, remember, that you are never alone
you are never alone
just reach into your heart and Allah is always there
you are never alone
through sorrow and through grief
through happiness and peace
you will never be alone
so now, as you long for your past
prepare for your future
but knowing nothing’s going to last
you see, this life is but a road
a straight and narrow path
to our final abode
so travel well o muslim and paradise will be your home
and always remember, you are never alone.
