Professor Suleman Siddiqui took charge as the Vice Chancellor of Osmania University. He is the second Muslim Vice Chancellor of the OU after Independence, first being professor Hashim Ali Akhtar. Prof. Suleman Siddiqui did his MA in Islamic Studies in 1967 from Osmania University and has teaching experience of over 30 years. In 2004 he was appointed as the Dean of the Arts College of OU.

Mohd. Khaja Moinuddin of 6th standard at Radiance Public School, Bidar secured 14th rank in junior level All India General Knowledge Examination 2004 conducted by the Centre For Human Resource Development, a Bangalore based NGO. Moinuddin will be eligible for a one installment scholarship of Rs. 750 by the Centre.

The Central India Association for Neuro Developmentally Handicapped Children caters to the therapeutic and social aspects of children who are neuro- developmentally handicapped. Neuro developmentally children include all types of (Cerebra palsy) spastic children, mentally retarded children, children with behavioural problems, children with down syndrome and autistic children. The Association was formed in the year 1992 with these aims and objectives. a) To provide modern medical technique to develop in-born potentalities of the child who is neuro developmentally handicapped. b) To assist in optional development of neuro developmentally handicapped children. c) To have child development centre at Nagpur for the spastic children d) To attend social upgradation of neuro developmentally children and to give solace to the parents and guardians for the uplifment of their children. This is an unique association organised and run by parents body of the affected at “Sarvodaya Ashram” Near Bole Petrol Pump, Amravati Road Nagpur Tel 2523650 from 9.00am to 1.00pm daily except Sundays. This association provides free service to the children who hail from economically backward sections of the society. The newly elected body comprises of the President : Mrs Farhat Naqvi (cell: 9225222454), Vice President: Mrs Ruby Jolly, Secretary: Mrs Neeta Khandelwal.
