Courses and Career Options after 10th Std
By Ameen-e-Mudassar

Dear students, after 10th Std what? This is the most common question which you will have to answer to yourself, your parents and teachers. Selecting any course is easy. But, selecting the right course is not an easy task. If you are willing to select a good course / career, kindly follow the guidelines below. It will help you to “Explore Your Future.”

Why select a Career ?

• Is there anybody else like you in this world ? No!. You are unique.

• Can you come back to this world after death ? No.! You are born once.

These 2 simple questions are enough for you to understand and feel the importance of your life. To be in this world and achieve something, one of the most important factors is your Career. After education (school and college), you will have to work, take care of your family, bear many expenses, etc.. But all this is hugely influenced or depends upon the choice of course or career you select after your school and college.

After education, you need to work atleast 8-10 hours every day to earn a decent living. You will have to work may be for 40 - 50 years, which shall take away 90,000 hours of your life only for work. So how should your work be- motivating or boring ? This depends on the career you select.

Option 1: Pre-University or 11th std
(Arts, Science, Commerce)

Every 10th std student has only one course in his/her mind after SSLC. This has led to 90% of the student community following the crowd and taking a big risk in their career and life.

We believe studying pre-university (PUC), 11th or plus 1 is a good option after10th since the syllabus here is informative, exhaustive and a strong foundation for further studies - graduation and post graduation.

Make sure that you do not select Science or Commerce or Arts just because a seat is available in some college, your friend studies there or your uncle is a lecturer and all other wrong reasons. Have a valid reason, consider your scores in 10th std, your aptitude and a purpose for selecting the course.
