The majestic Uswathun Hasna Mosque, was consecrated in Kilakarai, a
coastal village in Ramnad district in Tamil Nadu, earlier this year. In an otherwise conservative town where women have separate sub-streets to move about the town, the new mosque has set apart the ground floor for the women to gather for Friday congregation.
