The website www.islamicvoice.com has completed four years in service of vast number of its readers and browsers around the world. As you know this website is web version of English monthly Islamic Voice published from South Indian city of Bangalore. The monthly has been in existence since January 1, 1987. An 8-page tabloid at the start, the monthly has grown to its present 24 pages with 8 of them in colour. The number of columns and columnists too has kept pace. A latest reckoning reveals that the website is accessed by on an average of 5,000 surfers every day, while the print edition, Islamic Voice has today a circulation of 20,000 copies. The monthly in print has become an important medium of religious and socio-economic awareness among the English educated Muslim youth of India mostly in its southern parts.

Islamic Voice is being brought out by a dedicated band of Muslim youth guided by religious spirit and keen awareness of the socio-economic and Consititutional realities of India. It avoids sentimentalism which has ruined the prospects of progress of Indian Muslims. It has always struck a middle path, counselling wisdom and reasonableness and has been pointing out creative channels for harnessing the youth power. It has always stood for communal harmony, inter-faith dialogue and joint action for common evils.While many would reject this attitude as one of pacifism, the fact that it has struck a responsive cord is an indication that there are takers of this line in India.
