Ummul Mumineen Khadeeja Al Kubra (RA)
Curing with Verses of Allah

Ummul Mumineen Khadeeja Al Kubra (RA)

Hazrath Khadeeja stood by the Prophet (Pbuh) in all his trials, always sharing his doubts,
his sorrow, his fears and always one with his thoughts

By M.Hanif Lakdawala

Women always keep looking for Role Models. We cannot think of any better role models
than the women who lived during the time of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh). By the grace of Allah,
Dr Ejaz Begum Ansari has compiled one of the finest books available in English today titled
“Gems of Paradise”-A Tribute to the Holy Women of Islam. Dr Ejaz Begum Ansari was born in a pious,
modern Muslim family, her father being a Major in the Armed forces. Having top scored at the Cambridge Examinations
held in India, Ejaz grew up in an unique environment of western education coupled with a strong religious conventional
and moral background at home. Having come face to face with suffering in her glorious career as a doctor,
she realised that “ Real Life” was only after death and that every Muslim should prepare for that day while in this world.
Dr Ejaz presently pens all her works from the holy city of Makkah where she is a consultant as an
Obsterician and Gynaecologist.Beginning this series, we bring you the extracts from ‘Gems of Paradise’
with the profile of Ummul Mumineen Khadeeja Al Kubra (RA)-Part Two

Hazrath Khadeeja spent her entire wealth in the cause of Islam. She left her vast treasurers for the orphan and the widows and the down trodden and helpless, the poor and the needy. As Islam spread, the Qureish, who thus long had cherished Mohammad,(Pbuh) now became his enemies and became a big obstacle for the spread of Islam. His followers began to be tortured and ill-treated. Heart broken and sad, he would turn to Khadeeja for solace “Ya Rasool Allah, do not be dejected. Has any Prophet been sent by Allah who has not faced a similar situation?” she consoled him. He would then experience his spirit lift. She stood by him in all his trials, always sharing his doubts, his sorrow, his fears, always one with his thoughts, for ever a pillar of strength, kindness understanding and solace for him, to lean on. The Prophet would always say of her, “Whenever the unbelievers said things that pained me, I turned to her with my heavy heart. There was not a hurt, not a dejection, that she would lighten with her encouragement and loving words . She lent moral support to the Prophet whenever he was stressed. It was her sympathy, her love for him, and her implicit faith in him, which made the Prophet (Pbuh) love her dearly. She looked after his home and children with efficiency –despite her wealth and servants, everything for the Prophet was always done by her – No wonder then, that during her life time, the Prophet never felt or thought of the need for another marriage and no wonder then, that once Jibrael (As Salam) said to the Prophet(Pbuh), “Khadeeja is bringing food for you, convey Allah Tala’s and my Salams to her!” So much did she love him and so devoted to him, that both before and after his Prophethood she obeyed, whatever he ordered her, no questions, no delay! He loved her as he loved no one else and was full of praises for her. The Qureish discovered their world of idols getting shattered and began their torture on the followers of the Prophet (Pbuh). She too was a victim and she too bore everything in silence. It ended a little after 3 years, but she did not live long after that, and 11th of Ramadan in the 10th year of Prophethood, she became dear to Allah, leaving the Prophet a sad and dejected man. She was then 60 years of age. So much did he love and miss her, that long afterwards, whenever he had to go out, he would praise her to his heart’s content, her friends were the first to receive meat when he sacrificed a sheep, her relatives, were always welcome, he was an admirable host to them. Ayesha (RA) relates how, once he began praising Khadeeja Al Kubra and felt so much at peace just thinking about her, that in a fit of jealousy she burst out, “Ya, Rasool Allah, she was old and a widow, Allah has bestowed on you, a better wife now.” His face suffused with anger, he said “By Allah, I did not get a better wife! She became a Muslim, when others were unbelievers. She believed me when others called me a liar. She lavished love and wealth on me. She bore me children, when others are barren!” Ayesha was frightened at this intense outburst, so alien to his nature and swore that never again would she say anything against Khadeeja! She bore the Prophet six children, Khassim, who died in childhood, then Zainab, then again a son, Abdulla, who too died in childhood, (He was also called Thayab and Taher) then Ruqqiah, Umme Kulsoom and last Fathma Az-Zahra.

Curing with Verses of Allah

By Dr. Aftab Ahmad

If you go through the Quran you will find Allah(swt) has repeatedly said that the Quran has been sent down to earth for Hidayat and Shifa. It has been brought down to earth for the benefit of all creatures on earth as it starts with Alhamdulillahe-Rabbul Aalemeen and not only Muslemeen. The great spiritual scholars of the past did a lot to treat the patients with Ayats and surahs of the Quran.

To start with “Sura Fateha”, it is said to be remedy of all diseases.

For Paralysis, you write “Surah Inna Anzalna” on a Iron Plate and wash it with water and drink this water for quite a long time. For headache specially migraine,. recite “Alhoka Muttakasoro” and blow it on the head repeatedly

Recite Surah “lailaf Quresh” for Ischmia chest pain, recite Surah “Almnashrah laka” for heart ailment and stomach ailments recite “surah luqman”, for broken bones, recite laqadja-akum Rasoolun min anfusakum till the end (last two ayats of Surah Tauba).

To protect yourself from poisonous animals, insects, recite “Salamun Ala Noohoon fil Aalemeen”, 7 times morning and evening.
