Braille: System of writing with embossed dots formed by using a Braille cell, a combination of six dots consisting of two vertical columns of three dots each. Each simple Braille character is formed by one or more of these dots and occupies a full cell or space. Some Braille may use eight dots.

Quadriplegic: One affected with paralysis of both arms and both legs.

Paraplegic: Complete paralysis of the lower half of the body including both legs, usually caused by damage to the spinal cord.

Autism: A condition or disorder that begins in childhood and that causes problems in forming relationships and in communicating with other people.
