New Delhi: The Delhi Minorities Commission will felicitate persons belonging to minority communities who have rendered exceptional services for the progress and uplift of minorities. It will also present awards to two students from each minority community who scored highest marks in High School and Intermediate exam, three awards to NGOs empanelled with the Delhi Minority Commission for best performance, three awards to minority persons who exceptionally helped minorities, two awards to outstanding journalists from each minority community, two awards to best teachers from each minority community, two awards to activists who promoted the cause of human rights, and two awards for persons who promoted communal harmony.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony to be held at Vigyan Bhavan and will be attended by Delhi Chief Minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, ministers of the Delhi Govt cabinet and MLAs. A conference to be held synchronizing with the event will have Prof. Aftab Alam from Aligarh Muslim University as the keynote speaker.
