The Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference, held on March 27, 2025, in Bahrain under the patronage of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, brought together over 400 scholars and leaders to promote unity amid global challenges.

Initiated by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb in 2022, the conference aimed to bridge sectarian divides, renew Islamic thought, and address shared concerns. Scholars emphasized the importance of dialogue in fostering peace and solidarity within the Muslim world.

Mohamed Elamin of the World Council of Churches (WCC) highlighted the role of the Muslim Council of Elders in consolidating intra-Islamic unity, while Prof. Angeliki Ziaka, WCC Programme Executive, stressed the urgency of dialogue in the current geopolitical climate.

The event underscored the concept of Ahl al-Qibla the unity of Muslims despite theological differences paving the way for collective action toward inter-Muslim and global peace.
