Muslim News Nigeria: As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the pilgrimage experience, Saudi Arabia has invested over $100 billion in the expansion and modernization of the Two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina. The ambitious projects include advanced infrastructure, cutting-edge technology, and efficient crowd management systems to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims.

In a symbolic act of unity, the Saudi Embassy in Abuja hosted a farewell ceremony for 20 Nigerian pilgrims selected for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Umrah 2025. The initiative, launched by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, covers all expenses, including travel, accommodation, and logistics, ensuring a seamless spiritual journey for Muslims worldwide.

Speaking at the event, Saudi Ambassador to Nigeria, Faisal bin Ibrahim Al-Ghamdi, expressed gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their dedication to serving Islam’s holy sites and facilitating spiritual connections for Muslims. He emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to improving the pilgrimage experience and fostering global Islamic unity.

The selected pilgrims expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the Kingdom’s generosity and leadership in serving Islam and its sacred sites.
