Bengaluru: National Women’s Front (NWF) organised the Women’s Day programme on March 8 here, in the city.’ The NWF was launched in 2009 as a federation of women’s organisation from Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. It has expanded to other States with units in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Goa. NWF strives to create a platform for women through which women can stand up against injustice and fight for their rights. It is also an effort to form broadbased alliances between various women rights groups and activists, which help in forming a united front of all sections to protect the rights and dignity of women in India . The activities include celebration of .International Women’s Day, .Human Rights Day, Protection Of Cultural Identity, World Day For Prevention Of Child Abuse, .Educational Awareness, Health and Hygiene, apart from Counseling.
