The Global Education Trust has begun a series of programmes to motivate students to prepare them for competitive examinations of the civil services. At a function organized by the Trust on November 18 at P. H. Colony, Abdul Ghafoor, director of the Innovative IAS/KAS Coaching Centre, Bangalore explained the various features for the preparation for the civil services. . Maqbool Ahmed Siraj advised the students to develop critical thinking and comprehend various concepts rather than just memorizing lessons for the exams. He said only thinking people will be able to lead and govern in future as routine work is increasingly being assigned to computers. He said only knowledge and moral values can empower the youth and ensure justice and prosperity in the society. Afzal Sharieff, Chairman of the Trust, said the youth should look for new careers and courses and should consider taking up challenges in life. Syed Amanulla, secretary, Taha Education Trust, Bangalore said his organization provided coaching on a limited scale and accommodation for girl candidates for special coaching was being arranged by Taha Trust. Social activist Mushtaq Ahmed, Dr. Waseem Imran and Muneer Ahmed also spoke at the occasion.
