The Congress has got the chair now in Karnataka. There were good reasons for that. Though there was consolidation of Muslim votes in favor of Congress in few cases, we missed the boat and JDS took advantage of the situation. However the Congress romped home with a thumping majority. Many who had dreamt for the coveted position of King Makers fell flat. The writing on the wall is clear: the voter will not tolerate corruption, infighting, moral turpitude, buying MLAs, keeping MLAs in resort, ‘Resort Politics’ and attacks on churches. Now the new government has got the chance to present a clean administration. The minorities who were relegated to the back ground have to be taken care of, failing which, they will teach a lesson in the forth coming national elections.
