Ambur: The two Muslim-managed higher secondary schools here have shown extraordinary performance in the SSLC exams. The Hasanath Jaria Girls High School produced 100 per cent passes. All the 315 girls who appeared, passed the exam. Even in the 12th public exam it has been getting cent percent result continuously since the past 4 years. The Mazharul Uloom Higher Secondary School scored 94% passes. Of the 234 who appeared, 221 passed the exams. Both Schools are run by the Ambur Muslim Educational Society.
Asma Firdaus, Sabeela Tahseen and Rakia Sadat scored 487 out of 500 marks in Hasanath Jaria School. Aneeqa Narmeen and Shagufta Kauser scored 485 while Taqia Anjum obtained 481 marks. T. Mohamad Faiz scored 487 out of 500 from the Mazharul Uloom School.
Ambur, a town known for its leather industry and world class shoe manufacturing, is 110 miles west of Chennai on Chennai-Bangalore railway line.
