Times Asia University Rankings-2019

New Delhi: Jamia Millia Islamia has been placed at 188th rank by the London Based Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings-2019. Last year it was ranked in the 201-250 category.
This year,THE has ranked more than 400 universities, up from just 350 last year. These universities come from 27 countries/regions. THE has based its ranking on scores in five key parameters Citations, Industry Income, International Outlook, Research and Teaching. JMI has scored maximum points for its teaching, industry income and citation. It may be noted that earlier this month, JMI was ranked at 631 position worldwide by Moscow-based Round University Ranking(RUR) 2019, among 1100 universities assessed globally, improving its ranking from 747 last year. Vice Chancellor Najma Akhtar has commended the efforts of the members of the faculties and hoped the rankings would improve further in years ahead. Earlier this month, THE had released its first ever University Impact Rankings-2019 in which JMI was ranked 301+ worldwide and scored maximum points under Gender Equality, Quality Education and Good Health and Well being Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
