The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has attained a remarkable achievement by securing a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for unveiling the world’s highest hanging prayer room in Makkah. This prestigious title was earned by Jabal Omar Company, a leading real estate developer in Makkah.

Situated within the 165-meter skybridge that connects the two towers of the Address Jabal Omar Hotel Makkah, the prayer room stands 483 meters above sea level, offering awe-inspiring views of the Holy Kaaba and other significant religious landmarks.

This architectural marvel, spanning 550 square meters and has the capacity to comfortably accommodate around 520 worshippers. The 650-tonne steel bridge was meticulously assembled at 312 meters above ground before being raised to its final position, seamlessly connecting the hotel’s twin towers across floors 36, 37, and 38.

The prayer room seamlessly blends traditional Arabic designs with modern luxury, featuring Arabic calligraphy adorned with Allah’s names, showcasing the rich Islamic heritage.

Khaled Al Amoudi, the CEO of Jabal Omar Development Company, expressed his joy after the hanging prayer hall was officially recognized and registered in the Guinness Book of World Records.

This remarkable achievement stands as a testament to Saudi Arabia’s commitment to combining architectural innovation with reverence for its religious heritage.
