The 11th International “Islam and Freedom” Conference took place in Istanbul on October 18-19, drawing Muslim intellectuals from around the world to discuss pressing global issues.

The conference focused on contemporary challenges, with particular emphasis on human rights violations in the Middle East, especially those involving the Israeli military. Key topics included “Islam and Democracy,” “Freedom of Thought,” “Free Economy,” and “Civil Society.”

Organized by the Black Sea Strategic Research Center in partnership with the Liberal Thought Association, the event highlighted the need for ethical principles, pluralism, and independent analysis in addressing ongoing crises in the Middle East. Speakers underscored the importance of upholding justice and freedom in evaluating recent events in the region.
