Islamabad: The Islamabad’s Capital Development Authority has allocated a half an acre plot to the Hindu community in Pakistan’s capital to build a temple, a cremation ground and a community centre in Sector H-9. The Hindu community was demanding the land for these religious facilities in the Pakistan’s capital for the 8,000 odd members of the community since long. The absence of these facilities had forced the members to celebrate their festivals at home or visit Rawalpindi where a few mandirs exist in the Cantonment area. The plot is located close to one allocated to Pakistan Buddhist Society, a news item in Express Tribune informed.
