NEW DELHI: India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have made a significant advancement in bilateral relations by signing a landmark nuclear agreement focused on peaceful nuclear energy collaboration. Finalized during a high-level meeting between officials from both nations, this agreement marks a crucial development in their energy partnerships.

The accord facilitates cooperation in nuclear research, development, and training, reflecting both countries’ commitment to utilizing nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed optimism about the agreement, stating, “This partnership will strengthen our energy ties and contribute to our respective nations’ economic growth.” UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Mohamed Faris Al Mazrouei emphasized the UAE’s ambition to expand its clean energy portfolio.

The agreement is expected to foster knowledge exchange and joint projects in nuclear technology, positioning India and the UAE as influential players in the global nuclear energy landscape.
