Türkiye has introduced a comprehensive plan to increase its exports to Islamic countries, particularly Gulf nations, with which it has deepened trade and cultural ties. Under the ‘Export Development Strategy with Islamic Countries,’ announced by the Ministry of Trade, the goal is to raise the share of exports to Islamic countries from 26% to 30%.
The strategy identifies 21 focus countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Malaysia, targeting key sectors such as agriculture and industry. Intensive promotion and marketing efforts will be made to strengthen Türkiye’s role in global value chains and boost its international trade presence.
