The Karnataka government has appointed senior IAS officer A B Ibrahim as the Administrator of the Karnataka State Board of Wakf with immediate effect.
Mr Ibrahim is currently serving as the Managing Director of Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KU|DFC], Bengaluru.
The new appointment will be for a period of six months or till the composition of regular Wakf Board, whichever is earlier and until further orders.
Earlier, the government had extended the appointment of Mohammad Mohsin, IAS Secretary to Government, Minority Welfare, Haj and Wakf Department Bengaluru, as an Administrator of Karnataka State Board of Wakf for a further period from August 20 to September 4 this year.
