English Learning Course for Ulema

Vaniyambadi: A 10-day English learning workshop for the madrassa graduates and Islamic religious scholars (ulema) was conducted in Islamiah College here in collaboration with the American Consulate in Chennai in the first week of December 2012. James Stobbler, Rashid Nihal and Michell Stobbler and Cultural Affairs Officer at the US Consulate Dr. Shanadez Surendra served as resource-persons. Patel Yusuf, director, Vanitec spoke at the valedictory session. Course coordinator Major Syed Shahabuddin welcomed the guests.
