New Delhi: The Outreach Programme of Jamia Millia Islamia in collaboration with Dr. Zakir Husain Memorial Welfare Society and Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) launched an all-women training programme aimed at developing skills of women aged between 18-35 years in Jamia Nagar. This training programme, which is Jamia’s one of the major outreach projects,   will equip the women-trainees to explore job opportunities in the telecom sector for economic empowerment. The training programme has telecom modules for in-store promoters that will allow trainees to become familiar with specifications, features and applications of various state-of-the-art mobile phones that they will be able to promote in different branded stores.
The Outreach Programme of Jamia Millia Islamia is trying to reach out its neighbourhood through skill-development programmes.
The launch was attended by the senior functionaries of the Telecom Sector Skill Council, Women International Network and World Health Initiative for Peace.
