Baku: Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev appointed Mehriban Aliyeva as the first vice-president of the country. Aliyeva, the first lady of Azerbaijan, is also the president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, and a member of the parliament.
“I will hold interests of our country and people above all. I will try to serve Azerbaijan well. We shouldn’t forget humanity, kindness, and mutual trust in our daily activities. On the contrary, we should hold high those moral values and through this, achieve higher goals. I assure you that these principles will lie at the heart of my future activities,” says Mehriban Aliyeva.
