MP Govt. invites Essays
Bhopal:
The Madhya Pradesh Government has invited essays under its “Simhastha-2016″ programme. People in three categories can participate i.e., 1-teenager group who are studying in any class upto 12th standard, 2-Youth group with age not exceeding 30 years and 3-Free group for all citizens of India regardless of age.
The essays can be on any of the following topics: 1- In present scenario, the need of consciousness towards the values of family and social life; 2- Concept of value based governance and administration for a strong and prosperous India, 3- The need for commitment to values in mass communication (media and journalism) and 4- The need for adherence to values in present education system.
Articles can be sent either in English or Hindi typed on A-4 size paper. Maximum word length is 1,500. They can also be submitted online in Unicode font in ‘word’ file at [email protected]
Ten best articles will be awarded with an amount of Rs. 51,000 in each language and the writers will be invited to the international conference during Simhastha-2016. Articles can be submitted in any other Indian languages too but should be accompanied with Hindi translation.
Last date is March 15, 2015.

International Congress on Islamic Civilisation in Balkans
Istanbul:
The Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and culture (IRCICA) and the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina will be jointly organizing the 5th International Congress on the theme of Islamic Civilisation in the Balkans in Sarajevo on May 21-23, 2015.
The congress will cover the history of Islamic civilization in the Balkans under its diverse aspects: developments in the fields of science, philosophy, technology, arts, language, literature and other areas of intellectual activity; interactions with other cultures within and around the region; the legacy of Islamic civilization, in terms of both material culture (architectural heritage, written heritage and other tangible assets) and intangible and spiritual culture (oral, ritual and other intangible aspects of culture). The congress is expected to throw light on the role and place of Islamic civilization in the region and its past and prospective contributions to cultural interactions among the peoples of the region.
The languages of symposium are the English, Turkish and Bosnian.

Conference on “Intellectual Crisis of Muslim Ummah”
Aligarh:
CEPECAMI of the Aligarh Muslim University will organize a two-day international conference on the theme of “Intellectual Crisis of Muslim Ummah: Rethinking traditional solutions” in the University on March 30 and 31 (Monday and Tuesday). In a press note, Prof. Rashid Shaz, Director of the CEPECAMI has called for papers from the intellectuals across the world. Around 100 scholars, intellectuals and academics are likely to participate.
CEPECAMI expands into Centre for Promotion of Educational and Cultural Advancement of Muslims in India. It is a thinking arm of the AMU which is supposed to plan the educational development of the community in India and is set up under the constitution of the University.
Papers can be presented in English as well as Urdu. In Urdu the theme has been titled as: “Ummat e Muslimah ka fikri Bohran: Rivayati tarz e fikr ka mohakimah”. A 250-word abstract should be submitted to the conveners by March 5, 2015 on [email protected]. Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by March 08, 2015. Henry Martyn Institute (HMI) is an ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to the objective study and teaching of Islam, the promotion of interfaith dialogue and reconciliation
Summer Course Description and Objective:
The Summer Course in Interfaith Relations “” a long-standing annual programme of HMI “” is an intensive two-week residential course. The course will be divided into two groups they are Islam and Interfaith Relations and Interfaith Relations, apart from that there will be Arabic Language course, we offer for 15 days.
Who May Attend: People of all faiths. Religious and secular college students. Religious and community leaders. Those who had done any course on Islam shall join for the advanced level.
Course Fee: HMI will give scholarship which covers course fee, boarding and lodging from 4-15 May. Participants have to taker of their travel fare. HMI will charge non-refundable registration fee Rs. 500/-
