Samantha Elauf

Samantha Elauf, 24-year old who was denied a job in 2008 by the clothing store Abercrombie and Fitch co. because she wore a Islamic headdress (Hijab) won the case in US Supreme Court 8-1. The case was brought by the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on her behalf. While the company had rated her as “a good candidate”, it denied her a job because her appearance deviated from the company’s “look policy”.
