Eslam S Mohamed, resident of Augusta, Georgia, went for a Christmas Eve dinner with his family to a local restaurant, Olive Garden and received a surprise he may never forget. In a December 25, 2015, Facebook post, Mohamed said when he asked for the dinner bill for the family of 12, he received the bill with a message on it “Paid. Merry Christmas. Beautiful Family.” Touched by the gesture, he took to Facebook to share his appreciation. “I can’t express how this act touched our hearts. Among all the bad things happening to Muslims and the hate speech that the presidential candidate had made lately, there is still light in the dark, there is still hope within the frustration,” he said.
