Bengaluru: Justice A. M. Farookh, retired judge of the Karnataka High Court died on November 21 after a short illness. He was 74. He leaves behind his wife, two sons and two daughters. His son-in law Justice Mohammad Nawaz is currently judge of the Karnataka High Court.
Farookh had registered himself as a lawyer with Bar Association in 1968. He was appointed a judge in the Karnataka High Court on December 18, 1998. Prior to this he had even served as Public Prosecutor and Additional Advocate General.
He was laid to rest in the Quddus Sahib Graveyard of the city the same evening.
