HYDERABAD: Swami Lakshmi Shankaracharya emphasized that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) serve as a universal paradigm for all of mankind. Speaking on September 21 at a symposium titled “Prophet Muhammad: The Benefactor of Humanity,” Swami Shankaracharya highlighted the Prophet’s compassion, charity, and dedication to world peace. He stressed that Islam spread through kindness and understanding, not force, and that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led humanity on the path of righteousness and truth.

Swami Shankaracharya remarked that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are relevant to people of all faiths, not just Muslims. He called for the widespread dissemination of these teachings, noting that they offer solutions to many of today’s societal problems.

In a personal revelation, Swami Shankaracharya shared that he had once written a book criticizing Islam based on misconceptions. However, after studying the true teachings of Islam, he realized his mistake and authored another book, this time highlighting Islam as a religion of ethics and peace.

Other prominent speakers at the event included Khalid Mubashir, President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Telangana, who emphasized that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) offer solutions to contemporary challenges. He urged for a broader campaign to share these teachings with Telugu-speaking communities.

The symposium was also attended by figures like Kondaveeti Anantayya, Secretary of the Telugu Catholic Bishop Council, Dr. Khalid Mubashir, and Moulana Iqbal Mulla, former national secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. They collectively stressed the importance of addressing misconceptions about Islam by promoting the message of the Quran and the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
