Manama: Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa inaugurated the National Theatre of Bahrain at the Bahrain National Museum last fortnight. The king attended a presentation on the architecture design of the theatre, which was inspired by the literary work “One thousand and one nights.” The National Theatre of Bahrain’s slogan is entitled “Invest in Culture,” to support the educational events, activities, festivals and art exhibitions as well as musical concerts and other activities that reflect peoples’ culture and heritage. The National Theatre can accommodate over 1,000 guests and is considered a cultural milestone for various cultural activities and performances at the level of the performing arts, surrounded by an architectural masterpiece derived from the beauty of the Arabian heritage.
