ALIGARH: To mark World Earth Day, 22nd April, Abdul Baseer Khan (ABK) High School (Girls), Aligarh Muslim University, organized a series of events to raise awareness about environmental issues. The school hosted a special assembly, an interactive program, and a student quiz centered around the theme “Planet versus Plastic.”

Students created artistic posters to highlight the importance of conserving natural resources and to inspire others to play their part in preserving the planet. In the primary section, teachers used PowerPoint presentations to remind students of their responsibilities towards Mother Nature, encouraging them to actively support the “Go Green” initiative.

Dr. Saba Hasan, the Vice Principal, urged teachers and students to plant trees in their residential areas and nurture saplings at home. She led a pledge to protect the earth from pollution and to promote a cleaner environment through the planting of trees.
