jamaat cleaning temples

Members of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind undertook cleaning drives at mosques as well as temples in the flood-hit areas of the city in the recent Chennai floods. Around 50 members of the Jamaat undertook this task. They meticulously cleaned two temples, in Kotturpuram and Saidapet. Peer Mohammed, a post-graduate in engineering said that, “We find Hindus are unable to worship at temples in some areas because they have been severely affected owing to floods. So, we cleaned the mosques, temples and the streets badly damaged in the two areas.” (karnatakamuslims.com)
