Muslim Organization Condemns Attack on Amarnath Yatris

Indian Muslims for Secular Democracy (IMSD) strongly condemned the attack on Amarnath pilgrims in south Kashmir that killed seven persons and injured 15 others. Javed Anand, the convener at IMSD said, “We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the bereaved. We also express our solidarity and good wishes with the thousands of devotees who are still on the pilgrimage and call upon the security agencies to ensure incident-free progress of the Amarnath yatra hereafter.” MSD reiterated its conviction that nothing justifies violence as a means to resolution of social conflicts. It denounced all perpetrators of mob terror and bomb terror, irrespective of their religious affiliation.
