Historian Musheerul Hasan

Historian Musheerul Hasan has been conferred the Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship by the Jawaharll Nehru Memorial Fund. He will work on “Road to Freedom-Prison, Prisoners and the Raj” project. The work will look at how jail were used during the British Raj where noted freedom fighters including Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru were incarcerated. Prof. Hasan holds a doctorate from Cambridge University and was vice chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia.
