Yasmeen Muhammadi Begum

Yasmeen Muhammadi Begum, head of the department of Urdu in Bangalore University died after a brief illness on November 27. She is survived by her husband Mr. Fakhruddin, headmaster of the Al-Ameen High School. She had been teaching at the Bangalore University since 11996 and headed the department for the last 10 years. She had done her Ph.D. thesis on Urdu writer Nayeem Iqbal who coincidentally died only two days before her passing away.
