A Complete Contrast

Sir, It was really painful to go through the article by Aoun Ali titled “Pakistan Disowns it only Nobel Laureate”. What a contrast that our own departed President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was honoured by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi by attending his funeral on Rameswaram island. A Hindu individual has constructed a temple in our town, Trichy, and has bedecked it with a photograph of scientist Abdul Kalam, which of course, will not be approved from the Islamic point of view. But I am quoting this instance to demonstrate as to how people in India love and honour great souls, regardless of their religious affiliation. Perhaps the people across the world would be comparing India and Pakistan from this angle.
