Big Fat Muslim Marriages: Show-Off Business

Short-Sighted Gimmick
Cell Phone Addiction
Magic and Black Magic

Muslims in India are circulating stuff on social media about triple talaq to protect our Shariah . Muslims seem very united over this issue. But, I would like to appeal to every Muslim to wake up and stand together to fight unnecessary expenditure in our marriages! Is it necessary to spend so much money on various things and a banquet of dishes? These grand wedding celebrations have become a “show-off” business today.
Are we following the Quran and Sunnah? Are we really followers of Prophet Muhammad? These gaudy, noisy, glittering Muslim marriages lasting three to four days is not as per the Quran and Sunnah. After few months of marriage, nobody will remember, how big the celebration was. Everyone will be interested in knowing how happy the bride and groom are. Islamic Voice should take up this issue and sensitize the community towards advocating simple marriages as per the Quran and Sunnah.
