Shameem Shaikh works at MIT, Manipal University. He is also an endurance athlete, involved in long distance running and cycling over the past few years. Recently, he completed a Solo (absolutely self -supported) 1500 km cycling expedition (Bangalore -to- Koraput -| Odisha) in 8 days. Now he is all set for a harder attempt of 8000 km. His upcoming attempt is Double_K2K (Kanyakumari -to- Leh in Jammu and Kashmir and return), that totals up to 8000 km, in 38 days, this summer, starting from 23-May, 2016. Shameem, through his solo cycle expeditions hopes to spread the message of unity and the fact that all people are one and belong to one world.
