Uzma Irfan, Director, Prestige Group was conferred the “Woman Achiever of the Year Award” at the Global Real Estate Brand Award 2016 in the second week of March. Uzma is daughter of Prestige Group Chairman, Irfan Razack and joined the company in 2006 as Director-Corporate Commuications after having returned from studies abroad. It was a time Bengaluru was under the throes of massive expansion of real estate business with the IT industry flocking to the City from all over the globe. She directs the branding and all image-related activities of the company. She also set up the “Sublime Galleria”, India’s first sky gallery in the UB City, Bengaluru’s most posh shopping centre, to support fine arts and performing arts. While receiving the award, Uzma said, “This award provides an impetus to do better year on year and venture into several spheres. I hope to encourage more women to foray into the realty sector”.
