The meeting decided to call a panchayath of the people of neighborhood villagers in the next week.
The family of Pehlu Khan has around 1.5 acre land and was depending on wheat cultivation and dairying as livelihood. According to the delegation, Pehlu Khan, his two children, his nephew and two other villagers went to Jaipur to purchase milch animals since they expected to procure animals at cheaper rate at the Cattle fair of Jaipur Hatwada.
The FIR has clearly stated that the mob which attacked the farmers belonged to the VHP and Bajrang Dal. The delegation said, after Pehlu Khan succumbed to his injuries, the district leaders of VHP had threatened the senior police officers of dire consequences if they arrested any of their activists. They alleged that the Police registered a false FIR against Pehlu Khan and other innocent famers despite their having records of purchasing the animal from Jaipur Municipal Corporation.
