Kolar: The Al-Ameen College here will be starting a centre for correspondence courses under the Bangalore Central University in the campus. It will run BA, B.Com and M.Sc Maths courses of the university for which classes will be held for three months prior to examinations. Principal Akhtar Sayeeda Khanum informed Islamic Voice that the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) centre opened last October registered 212 students, mostly girls. The PU college has currently 175 students, while the Al-Ameen Degree College, founded 26 years ago, has around 245 students.
