Kuala Lumpur: The 11th International Conference on Islamic Economics and Finance (ICIEF) will be held on October 11-13 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to discuss the role of Islamic economics and finance in the contemporary global development agenda. The conference is organized jointly by the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group, Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM); and the International Association for Islamic Economics (IAIE), with the support of the Malaysian Ministry of Finance. Under the theme of “Rethinking Islamic Economics and Finance: Paving the Way Forward for Inclusive and Sustainable Development”, this year’s edition of the conference will bring together academics, researchers and policymakers from around the world to discuss 100 research and policy papers from authors representing 35 countries.
