As proud citizens of India, we, the Indian Muslims, stand tall in our contributions to the nation’s rich tapestry of history and progress. From the days of dynastic rule to the present era, we have played a pivotal role in shaping the ethos of this land.

Throughout the centuries, Indian Muslims have been architects of grandeur, from building world-class transport networks like the Grand Trunk Road to establishing cities of unparalleled standards for their time. Our monumental structures have captured the world’s attention, while our efforts to foster harmony among diverse religious, linguistic, and cultural groups have been commendable.

In the struggle for independence, Indian Muslims stood at the forefront, challenging British colonial rule with valor and determination. From the leadership of Bahadur Shah Zafar to the sacrifices of countless individuals, including Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, and Maulana Muhammad Ali, our community’s role in securing India’s freedom is undeniable. The towering figures inscribed on the India Gate stand as a testament to our sacrifices, with Muslim freedom fighters comprising a significant majority.

Even in contemporary times, Indian Muslims continue to enrich the fabric of our nation. Figures like Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam exemplify the highest ideals of service, integrity, and patriotism. Dr. Kalam’s legacy of humility and dedication to public service serves as an inspiration to us all.

However, amidst our proud history and contributions, challenges persist. Some extremist elements seek to sow discord and undermine the unity of our diverse society. Yet, true Hindus and Muslims alike uphold the values of mutual respect, coexistence, and solidarity that have defined our nation for centuries.

As Indian Muslims, we have a solemn duty to uphold these values and work towards the betterment of our community and country. By fostering unity, promoting education, and creating employment opportunities, we can contribute to India’s continued progress and prosperity.

Let us heed the call to service and unity, drawing strength from our rich heritage and collective aspirations for a brighter future. Together, we can build a nation where every citizen, regardless of religion or background, can thrive and flourish.
