New Delhi: Acting on complaints from some residents of Mehrauli to the Delhi Minorities Commission that two persons, viz., Deen Mohammad and Zubair Ahmad, were illegally occupying a waqf property which is part of a mosque and a Muslim graveyard at Son Burj, Mehrauli village, the Delhi Minorities Commission got into action and got the property vacated. Despite Delhi Waqf Board and SDM Mehrauli orders, the duo were staying put. DMC directed Sub Divisional Magistrate Mehrauli to get the property vacated and hand over the same to the Delhi Waqf Board. The order was duly complied with and the property has been handed over to the DWB.
