Gautam Adani, India’s billionaire with a diverse empire spanning ports, airports, media, and energy, is rapidly building the world’s largest renewable energy park in the desert along the Pakistan border. Adani, once the world’s second-richest man, faced setbacks with accusations of stock manipulation, but his firms have rebounded, and he is now investing heavily in renewable energy. The $2.3-billion Khavda Renewable Energy Park is set to cover 726 square kilometers, generating 30 gigawatts of solar and wind energy when completed in 2027. The ambitious project aims to contribute significantly to India’s renewable energy goals and Adani’s vision for a sustainable future.
