New Delhi: King Abdul Aziz Foundation for Research and Archives based at Riyadh and Jamia Millia Islamia will together compile an encyclopedia of Hajj Pilgrims and Pilgrimage from South Asian countries. An MoU was signed between the two bodies last year to gather various travelogues, accounts of Hajj travel by various modes of transport, details of Hajj endowments and medical facilities and departure and arrival arrangements of pilgrims. The Jamia organized a workshop of 32 prominent scholars, academics and researchers from India, Sri Lanka Nepal, Bangladesh and the Maldives on February 22, 23 at Delhi to prepare the trajectory for research.
