New Delhi: The Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith Hind, a century-old socio-religious organization, is set to hold its 35th All India Conference on November 9-10 at the Ram Lila Maidan in the national capital. The conference will center on the theme “Respect for Humanity and World Religions,” with noted scholars, ulamas, and community leaders from India and abroad expected to attend.
Preparations for the event are in full swing. Speaking with Islamic Voice, Jamiat Ameer Maulana Asghar Imam Mehdi Salafi explained that the theme was chosen in response to the current climate of hatred and bigotry in the country. “India is facing serious issues, including violence in the name of religion. We aim to convey a message of peace, highlighting that all religions advocate for humanity and respect for other faiths,” he stated.
The significance of the topic and location underscores the urgency of the conference’s message. Maulana Mehdi emphasized that while all world religions promote respect, kindness, love, and peace, Islam serves as a guardian of these values, teaching civic peace, fraternity, tolerance, and goodwill. He reiterated that every individual, regardless of caste, color, gender, or socioeconomic status, deserves respect as all are children of one humanity.
Organizers expect thousands of attendees from Delhi and across the country. A review meeting at the Jamiat headquarters involved top officials discussing strategies to ensure the conference’s success. The two-day event will feature seminars and symposiums focused on the conference’s core themes.
