Besides these successful candidates who have now qualified for admission to the topmost technology institute in the country by cracking the new pattern of the JEE, Mohd Tehseen Aalam – a 2012 batch student who has appeared for the old pattern exam, has also cleared the IIT-JEE.
The JEE this year was conducted in two parts for the first time. JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced are the newer version of the earlier IIT-JEE, the joint entrance exam for admission to IITs.
The first batch of Rahmani-30, managed by the Rahmani Foundation of Munger in Bihar, had got 100% success.
Brainchild of Maulana Syed Mohammad Wali Rahmani, Rahmani-30 was launched in July 2008. It provides free coaching to poor Muslim students from government schools for competitive exams.
In its first batch it created history when all its ten students, all from the poor families, who appeared for the IIT-JEE 2009 cleared the coveted exam. They had all done their 10th std Matriculation exam from the government or municipal schools.
Rahmani 30 along with IIT-JEE also provided free coaching to poor students for Chartered Accountant (CA) entrance. The JEE this year was conducted in two parts for the first time.
