New Delhi: Professor M. Aslam has been appointed as the vice-chancellor of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Aslam, currently a professor at the Varsity’s School of Continuing Education, has been appointed for a period of five years. He functioned as acting vice-chancellor from October 2011 to July 2012. He is a Fellow of the Economic Development Institute of the World Bank and has authored/jointly authored seven books and other writings.
