Mujtaba A. Mohammed (32) won the USA Democratic Primary for the 38th State Senate district with 52% votes and will be the Democratic Party candidate for the State Senate in the general elections to be held in November 6, 2018. He will be taking upon Republican rival Richard Rivetter. Mohammed’s father hails from Hyderabad, India, while his wife Saba’s family had origin in Chennai. Mohammed was born in Ohio, USA, and earned a degree in Law from the North Carolina Central University and has been practicing as an attorney with Council for Children’s Rights since then at Charlotte.
